The eleventh edition of the International Conference on Ongoing Research INCON-2016 was inaugurated by Dr. E. B. Khedkar, Dean, Faculty of Management, Savitribai Phule Pune University also Vice Chancellor Ajeenkya DY Patil Deemed University, Pune today, January 08 at ASM's Pimpri Campus. Those present on the occasion included several Indian and foreign dignitaries including Ms. Anna Opalka - Head International Cooperation & Ms Zofia Wilimowska - Vice Chancellor, both at University of Applied Sciences, Nysa, Poland, Dr Eduardo Durazo Watanabe - Coordinator, CETYS University, Mexico, Dr. Pradeep Kumar, President, Indo-European Education Foundation, Dr. Sandeep Pachpande, Chairman, Dr. Asha Pachpande, Secretary & Managing Trustee and Dr. Santosh Dastane, Research Director, ASM Group of Institutes, Chinchwad, Pune.
Dr. Sandeep Pachpande felicitated the Chief Guest Dr. E.B.Khedkar & declared the conference open. He highlighted the ever growing need of research in the uncertain economic scenario & the positive contribution by ASM Group. He mentioned that though India is also facing recession but some innovative disruptions are bringing in new opportunities of economic growth.
Dr. Santosh Dastane briefed the audience about INCON-2016. He mentioned that more than 400 authors both from India & abroad have sent over 300 papers in various disciplines. He also informed the august gathering comprising of various Institute Directors, Faculties, Research Scholars & students that Skype presentations would be the unique thing practiced by ASM Group. After a brief felicitation programme of the guests of honour on the dais Dr. Khedkar released six proceedings of different specialisations for the INCON-XI.
Dr. Pradeep Kumar released the INCON online journal. It was followed by release of the fifth volume of ASM Business Review by Dr. Eduardo. Later Dr. Zofia launched a book "Basics of Marketing" authored by ASM faculties, Dr. Sandeep Pachpande, Dr. S.B. Mathur & Prof. Prakash Singh.
The Chief Guest, Dr. E.B.Khedkar in his address congratulated the ASM Group for continuously organising this event for eleven years which highlighted their commitment to contribution to the society through research. He also said that it is a feat to launch six publications at a time. He added that Innovative-Intense-Economy is the need of the hour with a particular emphasis on industry, service sector & agriculture. He advised ASM Group to upgrade the conference to the next level. He also mentioned about innovations in developing teaching Apps by Ajeenkya DY Patil University for the benefit of students. Dr. Khedkar also gave some examples like 'Sarv-Jal' in Rajasthan & ‘Vatsalya’ which are changing the consumer-producer relationship. He was of the view that researchers must have a dream of patenting to produce quality for the benefit of the society.
Dr. Asha Pachpande proposed the vote of thanks & the inaugural function came to end. All the presenters then moved to different allocated rooms where seven concurrent sessions are being organised for different Management & IT specialisations.

At ASM, research forms an integral part of our work ethos. We have a full-fledged research cell that is equipped with excellent resources for research in terms of journals, reference books, subscription to online magazines and more. The cell works on various research activities for industry-sponsored projects. INCON has been a prestigious event to take it forward.
The INCON-XI began with a brief background of the event by Dr. Santosh Dastane, Research Director ASM Group of Institutes. The audience appreciated the excellent response received from researchers across India & world for this event year after year. He mentioned that more than 400 authors both from India & abroad have sent over 300 papers in various disciplines.
The disciplines included General Management, Marketing, Finance & Economy, HR and IT. Eight concurrent sessions were conducted to ensure smooth presentation by the participants including for the students & though Skype. All the sessions were chaired by distinguished academicians from India & abroad.
Authors made their presentations in the presence of an informed & august gathering comprising of various Institute Directors, Faculties, Research Scholars & students. Skype presentations were conducted during the course of the event in assigned rooms. This has been a unique thing practiced by ASM Group particularly for foreign & other participants unable to make it to the venue.
Six proceedings of different specializations, two of General Management and one each of Marketing, HR, Finance & IT for the INCON-XI along with INCON online journal were also launched on the occasion. It was appreciated by one & all present.
Several important guests other than the respective session Chairs were preset during the course of the two day event. The valedictory session began on Jan 09 at 4pm with Dr. Sandeep Pachpande, Chairman, ASM Group presenting an overall review of the two day activity at INCON-XI. Those present on the occasion were the Chief Guest Dr. Abhay Jere, Associate Vice President & Head of Research at Persistent Systems Ltd., Dr. Myrian Ross from Cetys University Mexico, Dr. Pradeep Kumar, Dr. Anna Opalka , Dr. Zofia Wilimowska from Poland, Dr. Asha Pachpande, Secretary & Managing Trustee, Dr. S. B. Mathur & Prof. Ashish Dixit from ASM Group.
All the distinguished guests on the dais were felicitated by the Chairman & the Secretary of the ASM Group of Institutes.
After the event a summary review of all the research papers was presented by respective Chairmen of the sessions in different specializations. The audience was informed about the variety of presentations made & subjects covered. Overall all the contemporary subjects were touched upon by the researchers which are of relevance to the society.
The Chief Guest Dr. Abhay Jere while delivering his speech asked for a required synergy in research between Management & IT streams. He was of the opinion that it would offer better solutions to the problems faced by the society. He lamented the little practical progress made once a research is completed. He highlighted the water conservation solution provided for Pune Municipal Corporation by the local Engineering students who competed in an event recently.
The programme came to end with a vote of thanks by Prof. Ashish Dixit from ASM Group.

In a glittering function on the occasion of INCON-XI held at ASM’s sprawling Pimpri Campus, the fifth volume of the biannual referred Journal, of ASM’s Business Review was launched.
ASM Business Review is a medium created by ASM to demonstrate the research skills of authors. Previous issues of the publication received encouraging response both from the Corporate & the academic fraternity. Select articles from a variety of papers are presented in the publication under the guidance of an expert committee under the able guidance of Dr. Asha Pachpande, Seretary & Managing Trustee ASM Group of Institutes.

ASM’s association with Foch Hoch Schule- Bremen Germany dates back to the early Nineties, much ahead of time, while ensuring very sound world class teaching methodologies for its students in Management Studies.
On January 08, 2016 during the course of the ASM’s INCON-XI, the annual International Conference on Ongoing Research two such MOUs were signed with leading Polish Universities. They were between ASM Group & University of Applied Sciences, Nysa and the other with Wroclaw University of Technology, Wroclaw. They were signed by ASM Chairman Dr. Sandeep Pachpande & Dr. Zofia Wilimowska from Poland in front of an august gathering of researchers & academicians.
ASM has continued its efforts in such strategic alliances and in 2007 it entered in to an understanding with CETYS University Mexico (The Only University having WASC accreditation outside US including Latin America). The MOU with CETYS focuses on periodical 'Student & faculty Exchange programs' and has successfully implemented the programs, leading to proposals for conducting common 'Certificate Courses' in Management & IT subjects. ASM is busy aligning these proposals to meet the regulatory requirements for the implementation.
On a similar line ASM has finalised a strategic alliance with Vistula University (Largest Private University) in Warsaw- Poland in 2012, providing for the student & faculty Exchange programs along with sponsoring International Conferences & seminars at locations.
These alliances, besides facilitating lectures from foreign faculty have enabled ASM students & faculty to first hand exposure to Socio Economic environments abroad. ASM Group is in continuous dialogue with more US & European Universities for possible MOUs very soon.
The two- day “International Conference on Ongoing Research in Management and Information Technology” (INCON IX 2014) was held on 11-12 Jan 2014 at ASM Group of Institutes’ Pimpri campus. This was the ninth consecutive year when the eagerly awaited INCON was organized and hosted by ASM. Attended by over 500 delegates from academia and industry including a large number of foreign delegates from America and Europe, INCON IX 2014 attracted over 350 papers including dozens from overseas presented during the 2 days in 7 streams: Finance & Economics, General Management, Marketing, Human Resource Management, Knowledge Management, and Information Technology.
The popularity of INCON has grown every year and is attracting more research papers from across the country and abroad, an ever larger participation by authors for presenting their papers to a discerning quality audience. Several presenters from remote locations like Bangalore, Jodhpur, Vishakhapatnam availed the novel opportunity of a full interactive session facilitated by using the latest technological innovations dedicated to remote presentations with even the audience in the Pimpri campus auditorium asking questions and watching the answers coming on the dual screens. INCON IX 2014 had a stellar mix of academic partners: The University of Pune, CETYS Universidad Mexico, Vistula University Poland, Indo European Center, Association of Maharashtra MBA/MMS Institutes (AMMI), Marketing Institute of Singapore, and Management Association of MBA/MCA Institutes (MAMI).
The inaugural session was addressed by Dr. Carlos Gonzales, CETYS Universidad Mexico, Dr. E B Khedkar, Dean Faculty of Management Univ of Pune (who delivered the keynote address) , Dr. Pradip Kumar Head Indo European Centre , Dr. Margarete Dziubinska , Univ of Lodz, Poland. Dr. Sandeep Pachpande, Chairman ASM Group of Institutes and Dr. Asha Pachpande, Managing Trustee and Secretary, ASM Group of Institutes welcomed the participants and audience which included students from Mexico and Europe to the 2 days of intellectual extravaganza. Dr. Santosh Dastane presented the overview of INCON and vote of thanks was given by Prof S. P. Marathe.
Dr. E. B. Khedkar, Dean Faculty of Management, University of Pune, delivering the key note address during the session stressed on quality research and global perspective to enhance researched. Khedkar also emphasized on People skill development, Value training and innovations. He explained how global perspective can be developed and inculcated in academic research.
After the two busy days of presentations, deliberations and animated discussions the Valedictory Session on 12th January 2014 brought the proceedings to its conclusion. Capt Dr. C. M. Chitale, Professor, Faculty of Management, University of Pune and Dr. D. D. Balsaraf, Principal, Indrayani College, Talegaon was guests of honor for the session and their enlightening talks had the audience enraptured. Capt Dr. C M Chitale explained how various issues can be converted into practical research and workable solutions can be derived. Quality of research is more important than the quantum of research in-terms of number of papers, he said. Dr. D. D. Balsaraf expressed the need for research of international quality and to change the approach for research and that it should cross boundaries beyond academic research. Session reviews were presented by Dr. S. P. Kalyankar and Prof Asheesh Dixit for Management and Information Technology streams respectively. Four concurrent sessions were conducted. During the conference 24 deliberation sessions were conducted and more than 150 research papers were presented. Thirty external panel members were called for evaluation of presentations.
All the over 350 papers selected for the INCON IX feature in seven volumes of book “Contemporary Issues in Management” released during the Valedictory function. ASM Business Review Issue 3 released during the conference a Bi-annual Refereed Journal from ASM Group of Institutes.
