1. What is MBA?

The Master of Business Administration or MBA for short is an internationally recognized and geographically portable post-graduate course in which students can study subjects that together constitute what we know as management. The Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) offers students an opportunity to gain insight into different areas within management and achieve academic excellence, as well as geographical flexibility. The 21st century is a difficult time for those who work in business and management. The modern workplace requires that we upgrade our skills, qualifications to keep up with the demands set by companies or customers and even work-environmental changes!

FUNCTIONAL AREAS

The graduates will emerge with a range of new skills to face the demands set by today’s competitive business environment. These include: Human Resources Management, operations management, marketing management, information management, financial management, strategic management, organisational behaviour etc. In addition to being able to develop strong technical skills, todays managers must also be skilled in influencing people and interacting with a broad spectrum of colleagues. In order for them not only to understand their company’s relation with competitors but also how it relates to both micro business environments as well as macro-level considerations. This is an important factor when negotiating prices or securing contracts from clients. Managerial skills are more complex than ever before. Managers must be able to deal with people from all walks of life, influence others in a business environment where competition is fierce and the market trends constantly change .

Its not only what you know but who knows you. To be a successful manager of todays fast-paced business world, you need to have strong communication skills and an understanding for how your company relates both internally as well externally with competitors.

In order to stay competitive in today’s business world, many companies have changed their two-year MBA programme offerings. These changes range from shorter programs (the one year norm) and different structures like modular or international style joint degree programmes that accommodate diverse groups based on age groupings as well individual sector preferences for people entering the workforce now versus later years when they are more experienced with skill sets needed by employers.

2. HOW LONG DOES IT TAKES TO GET AN MBA

Program lengths vary based on the choice of program format and delivery option. For example, full-time immersive formats such as distance learning programs typically last three years while part time single digit completion rates take between two to four total calendar quarters for study groups at five weeks per month or six months each quarter. The rate is reduced even more when hybrid courses are involved because they can be completed in less than one year depending upon how quickly you learn material and this would not apply if there were significant lectures given throughout coursework instead though!

In general terms, most MBA students plan ahead enough so that their studies do not interfere too much. Some schools offer 1 year, 2 year or 3 years worth of classes to earn an MBA. When deciding on a study program, the biggest factor affecting completion time is whether you choose part-time or full schedules.

  • The traditional MBA is a full-time and two-year program with classes on campus.
  • An accelerated MBA is conducted online or in person, and typically takes 11-16 months to complete on a full-time basis.
  • Part time MBA programmes can be completed online, in person, or a combination of the two, and generally take four to six years to complete.
  • Executive MBA programs can be completed online, in person, or a combination of the two and range from 18-24 months.
  • Dual MBA programmes allow students to earn an MBA while they work toward another related degree. Candidates can typically complete dual degree programs in a three-year period but, depending on the degrees, it can take longer.

3. REQUIREMENTS

  • The student must have completed a 3 year undergraduate course with a minimum aggregate of 50% from a recognized board.
  • A valid cut off score of CAT/GMAT/GRE.
  • Candidates with work experience are preferred more.
  • Pick the right program.
  • A good cutoff in entrance exams.

4. BENEFITS
